REBOOT! July 29th!

Well today I am working on rebooting!  I need to reboot the blog, my business and our homeschooling!  I am shopping for some fabulous curriculum for Miss Priss! She will be in 1st grade but still struggling to read, her math skills are fantastic and she loves to color and be read to (she is a little stubborn).  I am currently looking at  www.confessionsofahomeschooler.com for her amazing curriculum for history and art!  I am thinking of doing some more research for a reluctant reader language arts program for her!

Mr High School will be in 11th grade!  We were able to find a fantastic 11th grade grammar and composition book and a vocabulary book and I am doing literature circles and study guides and writing assignments with them for his Language Arts.  We are looking into "Learn Math Fast" and will let you know what we decide but I do love teaching text books.  For science and History we love lifepac and also allinonehighschool.com  which is ALL FREE!!!  Along with Spanish and PE/health and I also teach both children ASL as I think it is beautiful and very important to learn!

I am so excited for this year! I will be starting a daisy group for Miss Priss and I am hoping to bomb Mr High School our of his room more!!! I would like to do a co-op/ group of kids that like anime.  I am hoping that the kids can meet many children in the area!

I will update with more information about what we choose for homeschooling and please let me know what you find that worked/ works for you!

I confess I haven't done much at all lately!!!! I had a hysterectomy and moved into a new house! I have been reading with Miss Priss and Mr High School is working independently online and doing great! I am excited to get back to work!  I am about a week post operative and I am still exhausted but I am starting to get around more and more!  I am having crafty withdrawl!  I haven't made a bow in more than 2 weeks!  I will be getting back to posting bows soon!

Resolutions smolutions!

WOW it is 2015!!!! I really thought we would have hover cars by now!  I want my Delorian!

With that said I am looking forward to 2015!  I do not make resolutions anymore.... mainly because I say I will eat healthy and 2 minutes later I am eating a chocolate candy!  I have so many wishes for the new year but this year I have decided to focus on only 2 things.... I believe that focusing on 2 things will help me to center my life a little more and will encompass everything I normally would have made a resolution about!  Let's just face it, it is already the 7th and I have eaten chocolate, gone out to eat, not gone to the gym yet, still wearing yoga pants and dang it haven't made it to bed before 1 am!!!! SO my focus is going to be broad enough to encompass everything I want to work on but still help me to feel like I am making strides in the right direction!

I am focusing on building a better ME! I will focus on ME! Sorry but I have put everyone in front of my needs and wants for so long..... That is not to say that I will be selfish but I need to make time for my health, my sanity and my peace of mind!

I am also focusing on growing my business in 2015! I am looking at joining some bow groups with other women that make bows to help with marketing and exposure.  I will also be using my etsy account! I have had it for 3 years and never really used it! Shocking I know!

I am also making it easier for YOU!  If you would like to join etsy please use this link and you will get 40 FREE listings!

I am so excited to reconnect and get this blog off the ground! Please tell me what you would like to see.... more homeschool activities, more craft ideas, more craft how to posts?  Please leave a comment below!

My sweeties

Well this was taken over Christmas at one of the most amazing houses in Winter Park Florida!  That is my sweetiepie and my grumpy teenager! Oh and my dad totally photo bombed! Lol!!!

A new start!

I have bought my very first website! Woohoo! I am exited to join the big girl bloggers!

So on with the fun.... My kids have been sick so we have been doing homeschooling through movies and documentaries! Thank goodness for netflix, pbs kids and pbs! Wow we have learned a lot about nutrition, sea world ( black fish) which lead us to learn more about the sea animals! Love learning!  So when your kids have the flu or are really sick, how do you homeschool??

ALOT has happened!

Well let's see..... In the last few years I have moved to Charleston SC.  I am beginning to love it!  I am homeschooling my son (Mr. Attitude)  who is 15 and my 4 yr old daughter (cuddlebug).  I can honestly say I love teaching pre-school, kindergarten but high school is kicking my tushie!  I also run a successful boutique online on etsy and facebook.   I have been doing bows, headbands and the most beautiful necklaces for children for the past 4 years.  I also run a supply business called Sweetie's Supplies!   I was a teacher and left to stay home with my kids.  They needed me and I wanted to be there!

I am so excited about this new year! 2014 is going to be amazing!
My goals this year are to

1...   blog at least 3 times a week
2...  grow my businesses.. both of them!
3..   Get healthy and fit!
4..   Be a much better mother and wife! Spend more time with my kids and hubby.
5..   Enjoy Life and live it to the fullest!

I do hope that you all come along for the adventure that 2014 promises to be! https://www.facebook.com/MySweetiepieBoutique
